Overview

The Content Calendar gives you a scheduling layer for your content pipeline. It combines:
  • Drag-and-drop planning
  • Draft/scheduled/published state visibility
  • Direct integration with your publishing workflow

Drag-and-drop scheduling

You can drag draft items from the unscheduled list onto calendar dates. You can also:
  • Move scheduled items between dates
  • Unschedule drafts by moving them back to the unscheduled area
Published items remain visible for planning context.

Status model

Skayle uses three practical states in planning workflows:
  • Draft: editable and not yet live
  • Scheduled: draft with a future publish date
  • Published: live status

Collections and plans

  • Calendar scheduling works across enabled collections.
  • Articles are available on all plans.
  • Non-article collections are available on the Authority plan.

Batch workflows

From topic and content workflows, you can create items in batches and schedule them as a batch. This is useful for campaign windows, thematic clusters, and weekly publishing cadence.

CMS publishing integration

When a connector is active:
  • Scheduled items remain pending until publish time.
  • Publish actions sync through your connector rules.
  • Unpublish/reschedule actions follow connector capabilities.
In Skayle CMS mode, published items are available through the public CMS API. For bulk workflow operations (multi-select status changes, batch schedule, and batch delete), use Content Management at /content/manager.
