# Introduction

> Learn how Skayle connects ranking-focused content creation with AI Search Visibility, helping modern teams plan, publish, measure, and improve performance.

## What Skayle is

Skayle is a ranking and visibility platform with two equal pillars:

1. Ranking-focused content creation
2. AI Search Visibility (ASV)

You use both together:

* Create and publish content built to win organic demand.
* Measure how often your brand appears in AI-generated answers.
* Turn visibility gaps into new content opportunities.

Content creation supports multiple content types through collections (Articles, Answers, Glossary, Guides, and more). Non-article collections are available on the Authority plan.

## Developer interfaces

Skayle provides two separate APIs:

* **Agent API and MCP** for authenticated AI clients and automations that need
  to read or operate Skayle.
* **Skayle CMS Content API** for websites and applications retrieving content
  from organizations using Skayle CMS.

The Agent API uses `/v2` and `/mcp`; the CMS Content API uses
`/v1/{organizationId}`. They are complementary, not interchangeable.

## Who it is for

Skayle is built for teams that care about measurable search outcomes:

* Marketing teams running SEO programs
* Content teams publishing at scale
* Growth teams tracking category visibility
* Founders and operators who need clear ranking and visibility signals

## What it is not

Skayle is not:

* A generic AI writer
* A prompt playground
* A low-cost bulk text generator without strategy

Skayle is purpose-built for ranking performance and AI visibility performance.
